Grandma Fed us Well

For as long as I could remember, Grandma was feeding us well. (As a kid I especially looked forward to the endless supply of soda and the Rullie Brothers' cheese.) When my husband first met Grandma, the first thing she said was "Are you hungry?" He said "No thank you, I just ate." She said "O.K., come sit down at the dining room table." A minute later she came back with some soup and put it in front of him and said, "Here you go. Go ahead and eat it, if you don't like it, that's O.K.. If you do, I'll get you some more." I found it amusing that the house was full of food when we went over the day before the viewing. I thought to myself, "Even after death Grandma's feeding us well." And how appropriate that Grandma's last earthly gift to us came in the form of that wonderful meal we all ate at that nice restaurant after the funeral. Of course, Grandma left us all with so much more than full bellies. God used her to fill our hearts in so many other ways.
